Drive The Globe | Overland
Adventures has announced several new upcoming trips.
Arctic Circle Expedition will take place in the Spring
of 2007. This trip takes the previous 3 trips to Canada
(Newfoundland 04 & 05, Gaspe
Peninsula 06) to the next level- literally that is. The Arctic Circle
can only be reached by road in several places throughout the world and only one
place in Canada- The Dempster
Highway. This adventure will tally
nearly 9000 miles by the time it returns to Montreal
at the end of a three week journey across and North through Canada. The final leg North
consists of travel on winter ice roads to the outpost town of Tuktoyatyuk on the Arctic
Ocean.
Across The Americas will be an adventure of epic proportion. The concept
however is simple. Start in Tierra Del
Fuego, Argentina
and drive home. That is, if your home is
NEW YORK CITY!
Along the way we will stop in each of the South American and Central American
countries before shooting across the USA toward the Big Apple. The date has not been announced yet, but
figure on early 2009.
For now, lets
get ready for Gaspe Peninsula
this summer. The trip begins in early August and promises to be a great time.
